Usually I don’t write with a certain group in mind, but today is different. I’m thinking about all the business owners out there who may or may not have had similar experience I’ve had running a (or multiple) businesses over time.
You may or may not know this, but my oldest business is from 2007. And it’s still operational – look at that! Different business experts have given me the advice over the years to close the business and go work for someone else. And yes, I have thought about this in the course of all these years to do just that.
However, if you want a certain life style (FREEDOM anyone?) then working for someone might not cut it. At all. Is it then the money? Uhm well no. Because even though when working the money pours in, you also have to take into consideration that no work means no pay. And last year up to .. let’s say March this year I haven’t really worked like I should have. And therefore now that I started back up again all motors need to be restarted. Going to training to get back on track with the different software out there (Project Plan 5 anyone? or Power BI structure and more) but also thinking – what is the direction that I want my company to go now?
Truth be told, in the last years I’ve done a little bit of ‘everything’. Providing tailored training, created and implemented processes, create structure in small businesses, being a trust officer to provide relief for employees, created tailored software for companies and so much more. It is only now, looking back, that I can safely say that I can give myself a corporate name. Well not even that: now I have a hat under which I can put all what I do. I help companies scale up, and become more efficient in the process. Yay! So now I even have a vision and mission to accompany this!

Anyway. I digress. I just want to encourage you today. Should you have been in business since 1905, or you are just starting, please do not lose hope. Look at me! I have just now understood where God wants me to go whilst I’ve been in business for 17 years already! It is NEVER EVER EVAAAHHH too late. Got it?
